
WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH $2,000?
Every year, Highland Lakes Association of REALTORS® grants seven $2,000 scholarships to current college students. Unlike other scholarships, we cut a check directly to the student, which they can use for education materials, tuition, rent, food, or whatever else they may need.
Applications are open to immediate family members of HLAoR members and local community members. To participate, students will need to complete the online form and submit a brief essay on the topic listed below.

Eligibility
REALTOR® FAMILY MEMBER
- Must be an immediate family member of an HLAoR REALTOR® member in good standing with the Association. Eligible family members include:
- Children
- Grandchildren
- Great-grandchildren
- Current spouse
- Must have graduated from an accredited high school before January 1, 2025.
- Local public, private, or accredited home schools are acceptable.
COMMUNITY MEMBER
- Must have graduated from an accredited high school in Burnet or Llano counties before January 1, 2025.
- Local public, private, or accredited home schools are acceptable.
REQUIREMENTS
All applicants must:
- be currently enrolled, and have completed a minimum of 12 hours at a university, junior or community college, trade, or technical school.
- have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better.
All applications will require the following documents to be uploaded:
- Essay on "Where do I see myself in 5 to 10 years" (500 words or less - .PDF format)
- Unofficial Transcript (.PDF format)
- Headshot or photo of yourself (.png or .jpg format)
